In this homily, we reflect on the profound promise of Jesus in John 16:22, where He assures His disciples of a future reunion that will bring them everlasting joy. Just as the disciples experienced deep sorrow when Jesus was crucified, we too may encounter moments of sadness and despair. However, we can find solace in the knowledge that our Saviour has overcome the world and promises us a joy that no one can take away. This message reminds us to anchor our hope in the eternal joy that awaits us in the presence of Christ, transcending our earthly sorrows.
