My brothers and sisters, today we are reminded of the profound truth that we must seek to know for ourselves how Good the Lord is. Happy are those who find safety with Him, for in His Presence, we find peace, joy, and security beyond measure. It is easy to rely on the experiences and testimonies of others to understand God’s Goodness, but true fulfilment comes from our own personal encounters with Him.

Each of us is called on a unique journey to discover the Goodness of the Lord in our lives. As the psalmist declares, “Taste and see that the LORD is good.” We are invited to immerse ourselves in prayer, Scripture, and sacraments, allowing God’s Grace to touch our hearts and transform our lives. It is in this personal encounter with the Lord that we find true happiness and security.

Let us not be content with mere stories of God’s Goodness, but instead, let us actively seek Him out and experience His love firsthand. As we embark on this journey of discovery, may we open our hearts to the wonders of His mercy and the depth of His love. May we find true happiness and safety in the presence of our ever-loving God.
