In Luke 5:17-39, we see Jesus healing a paralyzed man and calling Levi to follow Him, illustrating His authority to forgive sins and His mission to call sinners to repentance.

In Luke 6:1-26, we see Jesus teaching His disciples about the importance of following God’s commandments and living a life of righteousness. He also promises blessings to those who are faithful and obedient to Him, while warning of the consequences of disobedience.

From a Pentecostal viewpoint, we can extract the following promises, doctrines, interpretations, and practical daily living principles:

1. Promise of Victory: Just as God brought victory to Jephthah in battle, He promises to bring victory to His people today. We can trust in His power to overcome any obstacle or challenge that comes our way.

1. Sovereign God, we thank You for Your faithfulness and power displayed through the story of Jephthah in Judges 11. Help us to trust in Your victory in all battles we face.

2. Lord Jesus, teach us to walk in obedience to Your commandments and live a life that reflects Your righteousness. May we be faithful disciples who bring glory to Your name.

3. Holy Spirit, empowers us to claim the blessings promised by Jesus in Luke 6:1-26. Show us how to live in alignment with Your will and experience the abundance of Your favour.

4. Merciful God, guide us in practical daily living as we seek to honour You in all we do. Grant us wisdom, strength, and discernment to follow Your ways and seek Your kingdom above all else.
