THE COMMUNION OF SAINTS: A FEAST OF LOVE AND SACRIFICE

THE COMMUNION OF SAINTS: A FEAST OF LOVE AND SACRIFICE

In the Last Supper, Jesus gathered His disciples to share a meal that would forever transform the course of history. As they sat at the table, He took bread, blessed it, and broke it, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.” This act of sharing bread and wine symbolizes the ultimate sacrifice of love that Jesus made for us all. Just as the disciples were united with Christ in that moment, we too are called to come together and share in this sacred communion. Through the Eucharist, we are reminded of the love and sacrifice of Christ and are invited to partake in the communion of saints, bound together by our faith and love for the Lord.
