Have you not heard the quote that; “To the world, you are a mother. To our family, you are the world.”? The Huffner’s notion that “The art of mothering is to teach the art of living to children.” is a reminder that mothering in a real sense is more related to parenting than any other. One could send several sweet messages to a mother in every celebration that calls for it, but the emphasis should be on lessons for proper parenting.  Listen to this Scripture: “When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.” (John 16:21, ESV). Why would one of the nuclei of the Law said: “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12, ESV). Authentic parenting gives room for an actual dynamic of living in good health for an extensive living. Listen to our Lord Jesus Christ response to an acknowledgement of a mother, “As he said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!” (Luke 11:27, ESV); but Jesus Christ reiterated the concept of True blessedness and I quote, “He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it” (Luke 11:28, NIV). Actual mothering is all about hearing the words of God and obeys them! That’s it!!!
