ON “RAP FOR MESSAGE”

Have we not heard that rap is more like literary fiction than pure fantasy? Are the monsters within the rap context monsters that are indeed real? Are the messages conveyed via the rap Gospel? Remember, speak no evil and restrict the devil: “To speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.” (Titus 3:2-3, ESV). Dedicate yourself wholesale for holiness: “But now you have been set free from sin and are the slaves of God. Your gain is a life fully dedicated to him, and the result is eternal life. For sin pays its wage—death; but God’s free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:22-23, GNT)
